  • BEAUTY/ Nailed It

Great fashion can always be accompanied by great nail colours! My fave looks at the moment are nude and ice cream candy. I really like the chic neutral of the nude, and the fact that it can still be glammed up with a little sparkle but still feel really cool (like in these pics). The ice cream candy shades are soooo cute for the summer months (I’m optimistic that it’s going to be a good one!) and there’s so many colour combos to try, not to mention patterns and nail art fun you can have with them

So I had a little play around with these looks myself, I didn’t want to commit to just one so did both! My hands are a dark nude shellac polish done by my mum’s lovely nail lady Jo (a post exam pressie apparently, thanks mama) I kept them plain nude so that I can add the glitter for upcoming nights out if I want to (I have 2 for my birthday next week). My nails are a bit worse for wear at the moment so the Shellac will improve the condition as well which is awesome. The candy colours I did myself, with a no so steady hand! But cute and delicious looking all the same. The polishes are a mixture of Rimmel (white) Miss Sporty (blue and green) and some little Poundland treats I found on a hen do in Blackpool (pink and lilac)

have a fun week playing with colours or glam neutrals, stay stylish y’all

  • FASHION/ Throwback Thursday – My Fashionistas

So today I’m doing something a little different…I’m throwing back to some of the fashionistas who have rocked my world with their style choices!
    1- Carrie Bradshaw

    20140605-163302-59582135.jpg

As if she wasn’t gonna be on my list! The most stylish, fierce, fashion risker that ever was (in fiction, at least). I still hope there’ll be a day when I can own a cute tutu skirt and strut down the street like I own it (possibly not in my home town though, they may not be quite ready for that!)

    2- J-Lo

    20140605-163613-59773325.jpg

I’ll be honest, it’s mainly THAT Versace dress that starts my fashion engine! But us Jenny’s from the Block gots to stick together… I adore the drastically different looks between the ghetto P Diddy years to the girly and ladylike (sometimes) outfits more recently.

    3- Khloe K

    20140605-163902-59942543.jpg

Khloe is my fave! She knows what suits her shape and werks it good! I like that she’s classy with an edge, it’s something I admire and try to go for. That red velvet Oscars dress is va Va VOOM!

    4- Kylie J

    20140605-164107-60067455.jpg

It may be unusual to admire the style if someone so much younger, but she’s so cool! She wears what she wants and totally owns it, as well as embracing a grungy look that I’d kill to look as fab in. I even like her green ombré right now!

Now I’ve been re-inspired by some of my fave looks, I’ll be back posting some of my own soon. Looking forward to playing dress up 😉

    Until then, stay funky

  • FASHION/ Making a statement – If Coco says….

This tee is THE perfect, catch all excuse for everything “Coco made me do it”. And believe me, Coco makes me do a lot! I’m obsessed with slogan t-shirts right now, and I totally live in this sleeveless jacket:

    Slogan Tee – Love

  • FASHION/ Bank Holiday Fun

Good Morning my ill’ fashion lovers

I hope the final May bank holiday has been good to you all (if not, you only have to wait til August for the next one!). For my bank holiday fashion, I decided to go cute. It’s almost summer and the sun is shining so why not! My go-to look is almost always a skater dress as they’re more flattering on my smaller waist and bigger bottom half.

Look 1 – Relaxing day of lunch and shopping with my boy. I went totally nuts for his dress since I saw Caroline Flack wearing it at a race meet last year, and I totally ripped off her style and paired mine with boots (but mine are cute cut outs vs her tough bikers) the fabric is so light that it’s perfect for summer (I road tested it during August in New York) and fits like a glove. The colour translates through to A/W if you add black opaques, and it also comes in black and white if you want to play it a bit more safe, I also have it in white which I’m sure at some point you’ll get a peak at:

    Cut-out Boots – New Look

    Mini Satchel – Primark

    Coral lip – Revlon 240

My second bank holiday look was for some evening drinks in the sun. I’ve been dying to wear this dress for a while and this was theperfect opportunity. I did try the colour pop lip with this as well but it was a bit much so I toned it down to a pink tinted gloss,  it I added a little green to my eye make up to carry on the fantasy floral theme from the dress:

    Shoes – Matalan

I’m looking forward to having more fun with fashion in the sun this week! But that’s it for now

    J xx
