FASHION/ Boxing Day Lunch
Hope you’re all enjoying the festive season – right now it’s the weird in between time spent working/losing track of days, storming round post Christmas sales and attempting to find the perfect NYE outfit…I have nooo idea what I’m doing for NYE so don’t gave a thing!
Boxing Day was spent back at Mama Alice’s house with more amazing food (BBQ meatballs followed by home made brownie if your interested), before moving on to Grandad (in- law) Alice’s for a buffet and catch up with the cousins. This outfit was perfect to be running around in – yes I’m aware the jeans/boots are the same as Christmas Day, but I’m sooooo into them at the minute! Maybe best to focus on the clothes and less on my resting biatch face in a couple of the pics
I felt like this was a sensible yet stylish outfit, brownie points to me! Haha. The long sleeved funnel neck kept me warm as did my gorgeous Aztec blanket cape, I belted it in the middle just to add a bit of shape and keep it chic rather than too casual. Hope it looks how I intended! I also tried my hand at the Cheryl beehive ponytail, up close I thought it looked really lovely with the overall look but the up close photos didn’t work out as well. Ah well.

FASHION/ Christmas Day Style
Happy Boxing Day everyone! Hope you all had the Christmas Day you deserved – I was very lucky and got everything I wanted and had some yummy food (although I didn’t go as mental as I thought I would, unlike Mr Alice). My highlight had to be my stepdad’s chocolate orange bread and butter pudding for dessert (no piccies sorry, as if it lasted that long!) and I managed to have almost a whole bottle of Buck’s Fizz to myself….what is it I was saying about being teetotal again?? Hehe.
Anyway, onto some festive style! I wanted to try something cosy and chic, so I thought winter white with a bit of print was a good way to go. You know how much of a sucker I am for monochrome
My brother made some kind of comment about me looking like I was going riding, I think the horsey set WISHED they looked this good! Winter white was definitely a great idea, until Mr Alice managed to flick gravy on my jeans in an enthusiastic attempt to cut into a sprout – Luckily it washed off really easily. The jumper in particular was soooooo comfy and the ideal thing to wear for Christmas Day, I got lots of compliments. I experimented with a low side bun again courtesy of my Hair Rehab London clip in piece, still a work in progress but I liked the casual messy look so it’s definitely a look I’ll keep trying out.

FASHION/ Christmas Eve Shenanigans
Merry #ChristmasEve all! Hope you’re all enjoying yourselves and gearing up for the big man to arrive very soon….
Just thought I’d do a super quick post to share my #ootd which was spent running around like a mad lady picking up my final gifts (they were delayed, that’s not annoying at all) and a buffet with the in laws and my baby nephew. Chilled out, full of family, food and giggles, the Curious Alice ethos right there i’d say!
Mr Alice knows I’ve struggled to embrace the festive spirit this year, so he thought this Bah Humpug tee was the perfect early Christmas gift as he also knows I have a huge soft spot for cute doggies! Bless him. The boots are my new obsession, and I’m certain there’ll be a regular fixture on my style posts in the foreseeable.
Tee- Christmas present, so I’m not allowed to know apparently!

Boots – Public Desire http://www.publicdesire.co.uk/amie-black-faux-suede-over-the-knee-chunky-boots-16852.htmlHope you like my outfit! I don’t tend to do too many social media posts throughout the day on the main days, but I’ll certainly be doing some more #ootd posts and possible a festive post or two as well. Hopefully you’ll have time to sneak a peek when you have that little bit of downtime between family and food.
Until then, have a wonderful festive week, I hope it’s everything you all want and deserve!

FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up
This may well be my last celeb round up of the year! It’s been a stylish kind of a year, I’m already looking forward to seeing what they come up with next year!
Kardash Kouture
They’ve been a firm fixture all year so why should now be any different right? Very different looks but I like and would wear them all with a bit of tweaking! Best case scenario- Khloe or Kim’s hair with Kylie’s outfit, substituted with Kim’s grey crop top. They’re kind of doing that good girl, bad gurl thing again with their colour palettes aren’t they – dark and sultry or pastel n pretty.
I’ve managed to find some fabulously priced online and high street doubles if you wanna recreate any of these looks at home too, I know I will be (I won’t tell you which ones, so you’ll keep you eyes peeled for future posts)Khloe’s Shirt – Missy Empire https://www.missyempire.com/product/darla-tartan-check-print-shirt/

Kim’s Skirt – http://www.axparis.com/products/-Quilted-Knitted-Pencil–Skirt.htmlReality Babes
These four look so good Id even dive under the mistletoe for a quick smooch, with any luck a lil bit of Essex/Geordie sparkle could rub off on me! Haha.
Sam’s pulling double stylish duty this week in two very different looks – the first one feels more styled and fashiony, the second more flirty and festive, and I really like them both! I’d definitely wear the first one. This River Island pleather pencil skirt is really similar and just as gorgeous http://www.riverisland.com/women/skirts/tube–pencil-skirts/Pink-high-waisted-leather-look-skirt-664154 plus the pastel shade means it’ll be a great buy to last right into S/S when pink is still going to be hot hot hot! I can get you an exact match in her second look – the trousers are In the Style by Lauren Pope http://www.inthestyle.com/by-lauren-pope-red-fitted-trouser-as-seen-on-jade-thirlwall-fleur-east/ and her cheeky fluffy knitwear is Missguided http://www.missguided.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/143436/s/unwrap-me-fluffy-cropped-knitted-christmas-jumper/?utm_source=affiliate&utm_medium=affiliatewindow&utm_campaign=UK&awc=2872_1418999743_6a1a29ff6f23b425f7958277e885cf21 you’ll feel cosy u til someone unwraps you! Hehe.
I still can’t get over how amazing Billie looks after just having a baby, soooo jealous! And now I’m also well jel of her camel coat, I’ve been trying to find a well fitting (not too expensive for a student with a mortgage and no job) camel coat for ages and am still having no luck. Somebody help me!
Fern is always fierce and taking fashion risks, I’m not always into her choices but I admire the fact that she experiments. This look is a fabulous simple colour scheme with a mixture of great textures, awesome.
Waye aye Charlotte pet, you look champion in your 90s homage! Such a simple and cool outfit to put together. I may need to moisturise and do a few more stomach drenches before trying this top though, but I’ve just ordered a longer version that’ll work for me a bit better (and save everybody’s eyes from witnesses the alternative!)A List Lovelies

Remember when Sienna first hit the scene and she was revered for her boho chic and flowing locks that everyone tried to copy? What a difference a few years makes! Really like her shorted hair, still gorgeous tousled as it was long (and exactly how I always want mine to go but never will, sob) and her outfit is a little more preppy chic than boho babe. Still a little off beat and just as fab as she always was in my opinion.
Now, Beyonce – I don’t even look this good when I’m out in the daytime and I’ve tried, let alone when I roll outta bed! Rocking my fave monochrome and print (lots of print, yippee!) I actually think I’d seriously consider wearing this out. Would anyone else? I’m going on the hunt for something similar right now! Will keep you posted on how I get onBit of Cheeky Hairspo

I honestly haven’t been watching X Factor this year, but I’ve definitely been keeping up to date with the fashion! I really like this chic and simple pony on Chezza, and it should be really easy to recreate – spritz a little dry shampoo to give your hair a bit of ‘bite’ backcomb the crown and sides a little before gently brushing over the top to smooth it out, then fasten into a low pony at the back, wrap a piece of hair around the hair band and secure with a hair coloured grip. Good to go! If anyone tries this look over Christmas/New Year, I want to see it so tweet and show me.And that’s all she wrote for this time! I’m desperately trying to get back to normal style posts, but the weather has been so crazy here that every time I head out its too windy or rainy. But I’ll keep trying my best! I also may do some cheeky festive posts over the next couple of weeks (as I’m sure a lot of my fave bloggers will be doing, can’t wait to see what you’re all up to!) so keep reading and hopefully there’ll be some fun fashiony food stuff (what else? Hehe) to feast you festive eyes on. Until then…

FASHION/ Monochrome and Grey (My Fave!)
I’d hoped to be back up to full fashion posting capacity this week – sadly the wind on the Humber put paid to that as every time I’ve gone to shoot an outfit the pics end up looking like its Cousin It from The Adams Family doing my blog…nobody wants that!
I realised that, in my excitement over the #HullBloggers event, I hadn’t posted what I wore! FBlogger fail, hanging my head in shame as I type….the pics aren’t the best as the were shot in a hurry in some questionable light and shadows (NO dirty jokes please!) but hopefully you get the idea
I wanted to wear something that was very ‘me’ and daytime casual/stylish. How did I do? As you probably know I’m obsessed with monochrome and these ripped jeans, so that seemed obvious, as well as a good slogan tee. But, rather than wear one that I wear all day time, I changed it up by creating my very own with Rock on Ruby! I thought the perfect slogan would be my blog’s tagline, what else? Haha. Alex (1 of my fellow event co-ordinations) also wore a slogan tee, and it turns out that Jaye who also co-ordinated was going to wear the same shoe boots as me…great minds really do style alike! I finished off with my new boyfriend jacket as it was just comfy and easy to run around in.
