FASHION/ THE Best LBD for January
Not everyone feels their best in January. I mean, we’re all trying to with our new found health kicks and exercise programmes, but it’s still very much a work in progress. And that is exactly why the appearance of the LBTD (Little Black T-Shirt Dress) is a lifesaver! For once my expressions aren’t the result of my naturally bitchy looking face, just the sun getting right in my eyes
I’m sooooo obsessed with this dress! It makes a great daytime or evening piece and I’ve been wearing it so much lately, of course with my thigh highs (aka, my other obsession). I just chucked the jacket over to keep warm but liked the look – it was personalised just for me, I always knew I’d make varsity somehow Hehe. I felt the bright red lip was necessary to pop some colour, it’s a Mabelline lip crayon that was recommended by my blogger buddy Alex (aka Champagne and Lemonade) and I use it when I want some extra ooommf.

FASHION/ Retro Funk
I’ve been wearing a lot of black/white/grey in A/W so far but have a growing obsession with camel/brown. So when I saw that this wrap front dress that I already have in purple (which you may remember from my Hull Daily Mail post in October last year if want to take another look) in this gorgeous rust colour it seemed perfect. I already like the style and fit of it after all!
The material of this colour is a little different from my purple number, but still a bit static-ey so make sure you give it a cheeky wash before you wear it (tip- if you hang it straight up afterwards you probably won’t need to iron it). Unlike my Fresh Princess look last week, I meant to have my furry jacket on in these shots, I do enjoy a bit of fluffy clothing! I think it may be an official FBlogger requirement actually…..hehe. I kind of like the lil 70s vibe of the whole look – yeah baby! Actually that may be the 60s, whoops!

FASHION/ Fresh Princess – Born and Raised
Except I wasn’t raised in West Philadelphia…it was more like East Hull! I didn’t intend to wear the sunnies but there was that gorgeous yet low winter getting right in my eyes, I also didn’t intend to wear the jacket for any shots but it was just a wee bit chilly so I caved!

Taken at Martin’s Alley, Hull MarinaThis wall totally gave me Fresh Prince vibes so was the perfect backdrop to go with this outfit. T-Shirt dresses are perfect for this time of year as they’re a bit more forgiving after all the festive indulgence, as well as being easy to dress up/down. I’ve also worn this over jeans and it looks fab for those not keen on getting their legs out in the winter chill! As you can see I’m still obsessed with my boots – be prepared for this continue…oh, and I’ve discovered they come in more colours too so I may be buying more!

FASHION/ I Woke Up Like This
Happy 2015 everyone! This year is full of events in the Curious Alice household – 2 milestone birthdays (Mr Alice and my baby bro), a mini milestone wedding anniversary and (fingers crossed) I’ll be graduating…wowzers!
But right now on 1 January, or as I like to call it ‘the lost day’ we only have to worry about 2 things: eating and being comfy. I can be a little vain at times, but I’m also partial to a bit of comfy loungewear and some make up free days chilling out at home. As my blog posts are things I genuinely wear and where I wear them, this shots are no make up and in my (still being decorated after 2 years, not that I’m bitter about it) bedroom. Try not be too scared and just appreciate the clothes!
Both items were Christmas presents and are super comfy for a day of being lazy. Boohoo have some cute nightwear/loungewear right now so I’ll be picking up a few more pieces for sure! But for today I’ll be crashed on the couch with Mr Alice watching some of our new DVDs and sitcom specials, who else is sad that Miranda is finishing by the way??

FASHION/ December Style Round Up
Not quite as many style posts over the last couple of months, I think that’s because I’ve actually been too in the moment and enjoying myself! Great for the soul and for enjoying life, less great if you’re needing piccies for your blog posts

Have a wonderful evening whatever you have planned (or not) for tonight’s NYE celebrations – we have a household that’s a bit under the weather so unsure what we’ll be doing ourselves! Thanks very much for getting to know Curious Alice this year – I hope I can bring more exciting things for you to see and read in 2015 and make it even better than this year!
