FASHION/ Rose gold girlyness

Initially I thought rose gold was more of a ‘fashion metal’ but I’ve since changed my mind and grown to ADORE it.

I don’t have a lot of it as yet but this bangle is a beautiful addition to my collection – the fact that has a creativity symbol attached to it makes it perfect for my blogger self to get in that zone….I’m going to wear it whenever I need a bit of inspo!

Bracelet Chrysalis at Joshua James*/ Bralet Pretty Little Thing

FASHION & LIFESTYLE/ Treats to make a gal happy

This is NOT a Valentine’s Day post

There are 365 days of a year to show a girl that you love her and you think she’s special. In fact, this year there are 366 – that’s a great excuse to pick another day to be spoilt “just because” in my book!

Being spoilt for me usually involves one of two things – relaxing, or pretty things. This gorgeously simple bracelet from the Joshua James collection is perfect for wearing anywhere at any time, the infinity charm adds that little romantic touch “we will be together for infinity” and all that.

I really enjoy a great smelling candle to help me feel a bit more relaxed at the end of a busy week. This Harper’s scent has been my fave over the winter as it smells of red wine and warmness (I got Mama Alice the Pomander and Cherry Bakewell scents for Christmas). I’ll be checking out the new season range really soon.

Check out the rest of the Joshua James collection and let me know which is your fave, and share any tips for new candle scents I should try.

BLOGGING/ Happy Birthday Curious Alice Loves…

Happy 1st Birthday to my blog!

For the last year this page has allowed me to share all things Fashion, Food and Fun with the world and you’ve been kind enough to read it! I’ve had the best time experimenting with styles, being introduced to different brands, working with some fab people behind those brands. And most importantly, I’ve met some lovely like minded people who I thoroughly enjoy spending time with

Do you like the ‘Beyonce hurrr, don’t currrrr’ vibe I’m trying out? I’ve had this wrap pony for ages so it was nice to change it up and be a bit 90s ghetto fabulous with it for a change! This top is part of the coord I have in multiple colours, I really like it paired with the acid wash jeans (which are ridiculously comfortable by the way). This whole outfit is amazing value – excluding the shoe boots it comes in at under £25! The shoes are less than £30 and are really comfy (as you’ll see by previous posts that I wear them ALL THE TIME).

Top- Miss Foxy, Jeans- Matalan,  Shoes- Public Desire, Sunglasses- A Turkish sunglasses shop (they say Tom Ford on them, I have my doubts…), Mouse Ears- Disneyland Anaheim, circa 1988, Ponytail- Hair Rehab London

We all know what the fun part of birthdays is, well aside from cake…presents! So to mark Curious Alice Loves… 1st birthday I’m giving away these gorgeous Daisy Crown Chakra Drop earrings, available at Hugh Rice
To enter – follow me on Twitter (@IamJennyChat) and tweet using #HappyBirthdayCuriousAlice competition is open from NOW until midnight in Sunday 24 May 2015. Good Luck!

One last thing… I’ve also uploaded my first ever Vlog today! It’s just a quick little message to accompany this post – see it here

Thanks again for the support, and as always…

FASHION / Sparkle and Bling

Diamonds are a girls best friend…but so are crystals and other shiny things! I spent a lovely few hours in Hugh Rice with some of my blogging pals getting some much needed accessory inspo (as you’ll notice I don’t wear them too often) and, unfortunately for Mr Alice, generating a huuuuuge Wishlist for Birthday/Graduation/Christmas presents!

I’ve always been a massive Swarovski fan, I remember purchasing a beautiful choker as a teenager that I still cherish…It shows how timeless a good bit of sparkle can be! I really like these stardust bracelets as they’ll go with anything and everything. I picked a subtle combo in these GreyBlack and Silver Grey single wraps…  …and the added a little boom boom POW with this brighter combo of PinkRed and Fuchsia. These double wraps would also look fab around a high bun for an unexpected bit of sparkle.

Rings ‘n Things with Thomas Sabo

I like the layered ring and midi ring look so I thought it’d be really interested to play about with this trend using something a bit more sparkly. We had discussions between us about the mixing of metal colours and decided that we like the cool look of seeing them together. I think some of their range can be so much more than just cocktail/occasion pieces…Uber glam #coachella accessories, anyone?

I was also lucky enough to get my hands on some gorgeous metallic tattoo transfers which I’m going to try out really soon…stay posted to Instagram!

Daisy, Daisy….

Not a brand I’ve heard of before but their pieces give me such a summer vibe! I don’t have pierced ears but these Chakra Drop Earrings are the perfect example, my girl Charley wore them to Hull Fashion Week and they looked gorge

Michael Kors

I’m not the biggest rose gold fan but I’m changing my mind with these pieces as the shade is much more subtle than what I’ve seen before. I was totally crushing on this belt Bangle – it fastens like a belt and even has different holes to adjust the fit.

The #watches are really good value for a high profile brand, definitely accessible for my #graduation wish list! This first Watch is from the new season drop and has a really cute pink strip running throb the middle. I also really liked the bold turquoise and orange faces as part of the #spring range.

The Bradshaw watch was my fave, it’s funky yet I don’t think it will date. Anything called a Bradshaw has gotta be a stylish bet right?

 Bling Goals

I was lucky enough to sneak a peek at some of the higher end items, including this retro pre-owned #Rolex. Now THIS is truly, timeless.

I think whatever the question, the answer would be YES to these beauties – Both a around the 34k mark and totally gorgeous is real life! Hugh Rice have their own workshop so are able to design pieces to order as well, it’s nice to think you have a special piece that’s uniquely yours for a special occasion

The crowning glory…this is a beautiful opal that I was lucky enough to try on…I feel like, if they ever remake Titanic, this would have to be ‘that necklace’ (which Mr Rice was thrilled to hear!) Absolutely amazing.

Thank you to all of the staff who looked after me as I browsed and tried, I’ll be back soon!

Which pieces are your faves?

Stay Stylish (and sparkly)
