Date nights are great. Impromptu date nights to places you haven’t been before are AWESOME.
Obviously not content with the ridiculous amount of food we consumed in London over Easter, Mr Alice and I finally hit up Old House in the old town of our fair City of Culture 2017. We’d heard good reviews about this place (we’ve walked/stumbled past on many a night out in our youth) and we were definitely not disappointed!
Soup of the day – celeriac and apple with truffle oil served with sourdough bread
36hr cooked pork belly- served in warm flatbread with signature slaw, watermelon salsa, bourbon glaze and beef dripping ‘cracked’ fries
Wagyu beef pie with garden peas, gravy and Parmesan truffle fries
Brownie with vanilla ice cream and chantilly cream
Great food, lovely staff and background music that created a nice and fun atmosphere.
Verdict- We’re soooooo coming back for you soon!!
