  • FASHION/ BRITs Style Picks (2015)

since I was a teenager, this has been one of my fave awards shows to watch. Sadly, now I’m getting older I don’t know every single person who’s nominated or performing like I used to…but I’ll always know when I see an outfit I like!

Red, black and pink seemed to be a hot fave of the evening. Cara’s style is perfect for a cool event like this (although I adored her Elle Style awards look where she went Uber glam) it definitely looks like she’s been taking tips straight from a certain Mr Harry Styles’ wardrobe…if I had legs like Caroline’s I’d be wearing a hot pink leather mini dress too. Gorgeous colour on her, a little bit edgy yet simple. Perfect! I adore Paloma’s style choices more and more these days – she still has that quirky edge but it’s far more wearable and fashion. This dress is gorgeous! I just wish she’d had kept it on instead of changing into the other one at the event.

Forever one of my fave Brit fashion gurls. Clashing colours and cool. I heart you Lilah.

There has to be two pics of Taylor so you can see how fab it is from both angles – the red detail at the front ledge toy shapes her waist and looks beautifully elegant; the back creates a more edgy dramatic story that’s perfect for a cool music ceremony. It’s a good job she won so we got to see the back really!

I was almost tempted to say, as nice as Ashley’s dress is, the skirt makes it look a little young for her. Then I remembered thT she’s not much older than me and changed my mind, I think I’d wear it too! I really like the shoes but I think I would’ve been tempted to go for something with laces rather than mesh. I need to get me some either way. This is Mel C burning her head into Emma’ shoulder- just because she’s gone for masculine tailoring doesn’t mean you have to go all coy and girly Mel! I like this look because it’s Ems pushing her boundary and daring to be different. Wonder if she should’ve done something different with her hair too? Kim K all the waaaaaaaay! Perfect BRITs look, mood black with sexy cut outs (and the exact toe of shoe Id wear with Ashley’s dress) great show of being a good rapper’s wife fo’ sho’ (that’s me trying to be street. Word.)

Rosie looks hot. She always looks hot! I kind of wish she’d have lost the jacket so we could see how hot the dress really is and bring out the edgyness of the gold chain texture a bit more.

Karlie’s dress isn’t really screaming music awards to me, but I like the black detail with the cut outs at the top that create a bit of interest. She’s highlighted every bit of her model frame and looks damn good for it! Zoe’s another girly I insta stalk for her style creds – the metallic accents of her look make it look really cool against the simple white shape of her dress. Great choice!

  • FASHION/ Oscars Style PICKS (2015)

A magical night filled with tears, laughter and dresses galore! A few of my faves have received mixed reviews but that just shows how subjective style can be…

    IMG_9287

In my opinion, Lupita will probably never look better than her first Oscars red caped dress. But this is a beautifully fought contender! The middle number is a great mixture of classy with a hint of fashion in the print and sexy in the neckline. A lot of people compared this to Gwyneth’s Oscar winning pink dress but this is more grown up, classy but with a hint of fashion in the pastel shade and massive corsage. Gorgeous.

    IMG_9288

Chrissy is doing J- Lo better than J- Lo! (Wasn’t a huge fan of her look) She looks gorgeous and age appropriate, anything else would’ve looked too awkward in her. Always rely on Naomi to bring the higher fashion to the partaaaay! Well fitting and letting the dress do the talking whilst everything else is pared back. Win!

    IMG_9290

The best Kelly O has looked this awards season – great mix of youth and fashion whilst still feeling Oscar appropriate. The one I’d be most likely to wear I think. Cate’s statement turquoise is just inspired, she’s always so fierce with her choices and owns it which makes her stylish in that alone! Sienna has literally pulled this lace beauty from the NYFW runway and is a perfect choice as its classically beautiful whilst the bottom detail keeps it fresh

    IMG_9291

Well done Rita – conforming to convention and blowing a lot of Oscar attendee veterans out of the water in the process with the haute DAMN results is quite a feat! And I think it’s a case of ‘Jessica by name….’ With this look. WOWZERS. Old Hollywood, sexy, navy….I can’t!

    IMG_9289

I’d like to think Dakota’s shoulder detailing is a cheeky reference to her breakout film role, hehe. Thoughts? My gurl G looks stunning in this red lace, really reminds me of the classic Honor Gold numbers (which are as gorge but a fraction of the price I’m guessing). For me Rosamund looks her best of the awards season, the dress fits her well and isn’t showing anything awkward.

    IMG_9278

If I saw this colour on its own, honestly Id think it was disgusting. I mean, what is it?? Given context against Emma’s hair and skin, however, and it’s a great match.

  • FASHION / London Fashion Week (2015)

I feel super lucky that I managed to nab some seats to a show on the opening day of the glorious London Fashion Week!

    IMG_9168

    IMG_9237

I wanted my outfit to be high street meets uber fash – on trend but simple and comfy for running around in. All answers seemed to point to three lil words: All Black Errrrrthang

My only regret is that I couldn’t stay for longer and do more! Next time….

  • FASHION/ Disney Princess

If only we could have the Disney life – live in a castle, be eternally beautiful and have pretty dresses to wear to fabulous parties. A LOT of parties. Well we can dream! But I’ve found some super cute accessories to give you a cheeky bit of princess in your life, fashionista style! Disney is one of those wonderful things that people can relate to childhood throughout the generations, and Ariel was definitely a 90s chick.

How awesome right?!?! I only wish there were some Alice in Wonderland ones as well, hint hint…..hehe. Definitely a fun way to perk up my comfy lounge wear when I’m working from home (and cheekily rocking under under my boots like a fab Hannah Montana esque secret) or with strappy sandals like in my pic to jazz up a simple outfit.

  • FASHION/ Pret a Porter

One of my fave 90s songs is from this film (French for ‘ready to wear’ check me!) by Ini Kamoze. Feast your eyes on its greatness

So for ages I’ve wanted to get the title put into a slogan top – it’s fashiony, it’s a slogan, it’s me! Rock on Ruby gave me the perfect opportunity
when I picked up this at their event a couple of weeks ago

Perfect casual look for a rainy Saturday afternoon methinks. I’ve been wearing my jumper to absolute death as well so I may need another soon! You may not be able to see in the light but my pumps have sparkly stones on the toes which add a lil bit of off duty glam.
