FASHION / Weekly fashion faves, 2

Another week of people slaying that fashion game! Here are the looks I’ve been crushing on this week:

Amber Davis

Dress, PLT / Boots, PLT / Jacket, PLT

Amber’s outfit strikes a really nice balance between on trend, cool and demure but with a very seasonal palette. All of the pieces are made of really comfy material but look really nice and put together. So easy and so fab.

Frankie Bridge and Mollie King

Frankie: Shirt, similar here / Jeans, similar here.

Mollie: Top, Rixo / Jeans, similar here.

I really like these Frollie looks as they represent both sides of my jeans-wearing style – double denim, slightly more dressed down and a bit more glammed up day to night. I love a good washed black, I love leopard and I love coated jeans – they’re staples for every wardrobe that can work for so many occasions.

Lily Melrose

(Image: @whatlilywears)

Jacket, Topshop / Top, ASOS / Jeans, River Island / Sunglasses, Quay / Hat, ASOS

To be honest, I probably could’ve done a whole post this week just on Lily’s outfits, there have been some corkers on both of her Instagram feeds this week. This girl will skint me before the year is out! I adore the print clash on this one so much, wondering if I could be grave enough to pull off double animal print in the future?

Abbie Holborn

Suit, Miss G Couture / Lace bodysuit, similar here / Belt, Gucci

This outfit is giving me all kinds of fierce power dressing vibes – very powerful and classy yet very sexy. I would love to grave enough for this one day.

(Image: @beyonce)

Coat, similar here / Suit, similar blazer and trousers here.

From sexy suit to straight up fierce, yasss Bey! I’m not sure where she was going but I guarantee she turned heads in this outfit when she got there. If you like the coat then you’ll love the one I’ve linked, it’s a near perfect match courtesy of the great British high street. You’re welcome.

FAHION/ My NTA’s best dressed (2018)

Awards season is my fave for celeb outfit spotting! And last night’s #NATawards provided lots of talking points for the looks that people chose to wear. Here, I’m sharing my favourite 5 outfits from the red carpet (in no particular order):

1. Toff

The jungle queen looked like a beautiful princess – the blush pink colour works really well with her skin tone and hair colour, and the style has the right amount of sexy with the strapless bustier whilst remaining demure and girly in the flowing skirt and ruffle detail. Great call on no jewellery and the half up do to keep the dress front and centre, and the length means that she could’ve changed into a sneaky pair of flats to party the nigt away and nobody would know!

2. Rochelle Humes

I usually do enjoy Roch’s style so it’s no surprise that I’m pashing on her – she is a total glamazon! This purple shade is totally popping for al, he right reasons, and I adore that the gladiator-style heels are the main accessory of the look as they add an extra dimension. Her hair looks beautiful in its natural glory (I’m fairly sure she has embraced her natural curls to show her eldest daughter that they are beautiful and should be embraced, agreed) and is a great co toast from the sleek silhouette of the dress.

3. Olivia Attwood

This dress is a very sexed up version of Toff’s but I still totally dig it. The powder blue (pastels were definitely the vibe for a lot of stars weren’t they?) looks beautiful with Olivia’s tan and hair, and the shape of the dress shows of her figure to perfection. THIS is my gym-spo for today! Really like the Hollywood waves hair tucked behind the ears to pare it back against the look, and the pop of Metallica in the earrings and stilettos is subtle but cool. The only thing I’m not keen on is the clutch bag, I feel like that should have been in the same metallic as the other accessories to tone in nicely.

5. Ruth Langsford

This is the smile of a lady who knows what shape and colour works well for her and is working it! I’m such a fan of an off the shoulder look as it’s just so flattering, and I’m a sucker for matching your lip colour to your outfit. This is exactly the sort of look I would wear to a black tie event, completely timeless.

5. Laura Whitmore

My fashion muse has one again KILLED IT in one of the more alternative looks of the night, I also really liked Suranne Jones’ take on the tuxedo instead of a dress, but The Whitmore will always be my winner. It such an understated but eye catching look all at once – the cleavage flash (I’m getting such 90s vibes from this – who else remembers blazers being worn with a Wonderbra underneath?) flattering trouser length, killer heels, sassy hair and colour pop bag. We are not worthy!

So that’s it for another year, but this has definitely made me excited to see what looks will be gracing the next major UK red carpet, The BRITS.

FASHION/ Golden Globes best dressed

Hooray for awards season and women with good taste! I’m really loving paler tones, girly details and textures this season and they definitely feature in my fave #GoldenGlobes looks

Louise Roe

Mucho blogger appreciation for this one! Really like the fact that it’s quite covered up with a hint of sexy in the cleavage and thigh high slit, and that the embroidery does all the talking rather than loads of only teeny bugbear is he footwear; I really like the shoes but I’d have probably gone with something in a player or metallic colour .

Guiliana Racic My first two look and they’re technically no talking the the red carpet! G has gone for uber drama, uber girly, and I honestly think this is a “fashion moment” as she would probably say on #FashionPolice it kind of reminds me of something Lucy Liu worked on the Globes red carpet in 2013, in the sense that it’s floral and a huge dramatic shape, but this feels like a more timeless way or wearing the look.

Emma Stone     A best actress award and a killer red carpet look? Great night for Miss Stone! The pleats and metallic start print make it feel really modern even though the shape is a fairly standard red carpet gown design. The colours are just lovely. Glad she wore her hair up to keep it really simple and focused on her dress, but I’m not quite as crazy on the necklace as I think it’s a tad too heavy for such a delicate look.

Drew Barrymore

This is just boho Drew with a bit of glam and glitter isn’t it? Simple shape, on trend cold shoulder and cool toned colour palette, pared with laid back waves and ‘no make up’ make up. Girl just skooled us on how to frock up and still stay true to your personal style.

Lily Collins

One of my fave fashion gals ain one of my fave colours (the other is blue. I know, I’m a total Maverick.) I think this a definite marmite gown because this kind of lace detail may not be up everyone’s street, but to me it looks great as it’s kep fairly light on top so isn’t bulking her out uncessarily and the shape is super flattering. Not crazy about much from the neck up but I’ll leave that part alone…

What are your fave looks from last nights red carpet, are you a fan of the ones I’ve chosen?

Stay stylish,

J 😘xx

FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up

Another week, another round of fab celeb style. Take a look at what I’m enjoying…

White HAWT

These girls are totally repping the fact that white can be worn by pretty much everybody…we shouldn’t be scared of it anymore! Una’s dress in particular has a great on trend shape with that polo neckline and cut out section by AX Paris but still looks very classy… I feel like it looks much more expensive than its £30 price tag too. Maybe one for my Vegas wardrobe?

I always have high standards for Naomi outfits but I don’t think I’ve ever featured her before, weird! This is such a cute summer dress, a lot of people think of white lace as bridal but this shows that’s not so. This isn’t the same style but I think this coord by Stephanie Pratt x Missy Empire is another great example of how it works really well for that chic evening look.

Kim’s Lavish Alice dress is a more stylish take on the tie dye stuff we usually see in the summer – the monochrome palette keeps it feeling chic and the marble-like print keeps it a lil’ quirky. If you’re going to wear a Bardot dress this summer though, remember: watch out for dodgy tan lines!

I sooooo enjoy pastel hair, I think that’s because I’m too scared to try it out myself…maybe one day…Its awesome that Kylie’s used her mermaid locks as the main accessory to her outfit, I really like that she’s kept the overall look really clean and basic aside from some metallic arm candy. I’ve found a similar jumpsuit to Kylie’s at ASOS , and for those braver than I you can rock that blue hue courtesy of Bleach London in Washed up Mermaid (I’ve great things from those who’ve used this brand). You could even personalise your accessories by adding a Cherry Diva hand stamped bangle which are currently 50% off…go go go!

 Peachy Keen
I almost fell off my chair taking in Solange’s look, it just seems so…well normal! I often appreciate her style but I’m attracted to this look because it feels very Parisian chic (which I believe is where she was) yet still very Solange with the eye catching metallics and clashed up strappy sandals. Tres Bien Madam Knowles! Even though it’s orange this Pretty Little Thing dress is a really similar style in just once piece, it’ll be really flattering when the skirt flares as you walk too.

I heart Lucy! I’ve been pashing over her new campaign with Pretty Little Thing since it launched last month – this outfit is actually more pink and a gorge crepey material that’ll feel cool and comfy when the weather isn’t. You can pick up her trousers here and sleeveless duster jacket here (both should be back in stock in all sizes soon). The whole collection is definitely worth a look – a mixture of tailored and more fluid pieces in gorgeous summery tones from the muted to the vibrant. Perfect for anywhere you’re going.

Hollywood Glam
There’s very little I can say about Lily and Demi other than the following – please can we be friends, please can we go out sometime, and please can we swap clothes?!?!?

Blue is the Colour, Sassy is the Game
‘Ain’t nuthin’ sad about this blue! Festicool has never looked so fun before Miss Dunn (didn’t intend that to rhyme, but it does so I’m going with it) but I’m a teeny bit sad as I kind find this Moschino outfit anywhere….boooooo….

I’ve had a bit more luck with  Rochelle’s Dress, which is classic MOTO at Top Shop. A great denim dress is always a winner for S/S in my eyes but finding the perfect one can be as much of a pain as finding jeans, and then summer’s almost over when you do! So thanks Roch for giving us a leg up nice and early on where we can find a good ‘un, I really adore this braid/fishtail plait combo and super simple tan accents, I wish I had the hair to try and recreate the hair.

Day to Night Bargain

We all strive for a great ‘day to night’ piece, and this is Kendall’s take on that Holy Grail. It’s not what a lot of people would probably think of since its jersey fabric but it’s ideal for the humid London weather flitting between festival and dinner. The spaghetti straps are also practical for slipping off the shoulder to avoid tan lines in the day but look dressy in the evening whilst hitting that 90s trend I’m still enjoying, so definitely job well done Kenny. There’s a brilliant copy of this dress at Pretty Little Thing for the absolute steal if £8!! It comes in quite a few colours too.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s looks, don’t forget to catch up with my own style posts from the week here and here.

You can also pick up some gorgeous summery bits (some as seen in previous posts) on my Depop page, search for @iamjennychat . Whatever you need an outfit for, I bet you can find it here. Happy Shopping!

FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up

Hope you’ve all had a great week! The celebs have certainly had some great style moments, I had trouble picking which were faves. But I managed, and here they are!

Animal Print Awesomeness

I’ve always enjoyed a good bit of animal print in my wardrobe, mine of my fave pieces being an old long sleeved body on dress from Kardashian Kollection. I enjoy it even more when the game is changed and it’s made into something a bit ore fab and out there like Kylie and Kimba, I want both these outfits! This wide leg jumpsuit from River Island was giving me a similar vibe-  It’s not leopard print but it’s red and Paisley which I’m all over for summer, so you can do boho Kylie. Kim’s exact look is by House of Holland (one of my fave for quirky styles!) buy her skirt and matching crop top from ASOS.

Skirt Fabulous  Like two lil twin kea – the Angela NE the devil with their matching curly blonde hair! I really like Chloe make up free actually, she should definitely do that more often. Tuxedo dresses are so sexy, kind of the acceptable way of wearing your boyfriend’s shirt out of the house. I’ve found a gorge version of Danielle’s by Pretty Little Thing which also comes in black, for Chloe’s more military inspired look this Vesper frock by ASOS hits the mark.

Kara’s been looking really good lately! Such a simple and easy look yet really chic. You can buy a skirt similar to at Miss Pap gutted that I haven’t tracked down her lush top though! However Dorothy Perkins have a suede dress in the same colour which I have my beady eyes on.

Happy Birthday Koko! It was her 31st birthday yesterday, and like the best of us *cough, me hopefully* she just keeps getting more fab as she’s ages. I adore simple two piece looks and they look even more awesome when you have a body like THAT. You can recreate her look with this stripey number by New Look.

I Can See (Through) You!

I like that both of these outfits are hitting the same trend but totally differently – full on sexy whoomph there it is and girly innocence. Both all kinds of awesome for the summer.

 Glam Squad

I can’t even cope with how amazing these girls look…I mean, who looks this great in real life?!?! I only have one word for how I feel about these looks: daaaaaaaaaamn.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s looks, thanks for reading

FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up

A set of #celebstyle looks this week that is short, sweet and to the very stylish point!

 All Black Errrthang

Yes Cate Blanchett, YES. Or should I say oui…Cannes perfection for me – Chic yet edgy and fashion forward, whooph here it is! I’ve just spotted a fab copy of her bomber jacket by Miss Pap which also comes in white.

I haven’t seen Estelle on the scene for a while but daaaaamn, you can’t miss her in this frock! I adore the sheer/lace trends so much as they’re great for every season. However for something a little bit more wearable for a summer night out, I’d pick up this cheeky Missguided number instead.

 All White Errrthang
Straight from stylishly dark to elegantly white, as you do! When in Rome eh Mollie…actually I think she may be in Venice but still, this is a great look to keep cool whilst look HAWT methinks. Her cute ‘n chic dress is by Self Portrait at Selfridges.

We all know Vanessa for her super cool boho vibes, so I really like that she’s still working it in even when she’s wearing something a bit more glam. I salute her for staying true! I’ve found a great copy of her outfit – this gorge plunge ASOS jumpsuit, topped off with this chic cape blazer by Missy Empire

Green Goddesses   Georgia’s dress hits a few marks for me – on trend colour, great fit, the slinky material makes it extra sassy for the evening to match that sexy lil’ plunge neckline. I need this in my life! And the fab news is I can get it and not spend a fortune exact dress can be bought Pretty Little Thing but it’s almost sold out in this colour! For similar styles in the same colour see here and here. I’ve also found some georgoeus similar caged heels by Public Desire (be sure to check out their fab lace up range whilst you’re over there!)

Now, who is this hot mama and what has she done with Celine Dion?? Seriously – this is the best she’s looked EVER. Definitely giving the usual suspects (I’m talking about you, J-Lo) a run for their money…well a strut, it’s not a good idea to run in those kinda heels. Hehe.

Struttin’ in Denim

You can see it written all over the faces right – I’m fierce, I know it, now watch me go…well I’m watching you ladies! I particularly admire Mylene’s brazenness at having her underwear on show…when you have undergarments that fab (and that you helped design) why not show it off I guess! This is from her range at Littlewoods , it also comes in a bodysuit version for those who wanna show off but want a little more coverage in the stomach area.

I adore that she even calls herself Queen Bee now…as if we didn’t already know that she called the shots…hehe. I can’t find this jumper, I suspect it was made especially for her, so why don’t you hit up my girls at Rock on Ruby and create your own too!

Hope you liked the looks from this week’s round up, let me know which are your faves.

I’m just about to go into THE busiest week – a culmination of fine tuning essays, my dissertation and exam revision…send me positive vibes!

FASHION/ Met Gala Style Picks (2015)

I’m a bit to late to this party but I stayed til the end! I did have a much longer list of styles I like this time yesterday, but I guess I’m fickle and didn’t like them as much when it came to actually posting them.

The Naked Dress

What a battle of the divas this one is! This is definitely a trend we expect from J-Lo (fierce) kind of what we expect from Kim (when she’s not completely naked obviously) but Beyonce?? This is totally maverick for her, AND she’s the most naked of them all! I adore her dress, but I wish the ponytail would’ve been more back and centred as for me that would’ve looked a bit sleeker. And I really the flouncy feathers of Kim’s frock, really OTT a l a #MetGala should be

Bit of Shimmer Shimmy

I feel like I haven’t featured my fave Rosie on my #celebstyle picks for ages as she hasn’t been around…but wommph, here she is and lookin uh-may-zing to boot!

It’s all in the detail

The Dame done good! She looks elegant and stylish (with just a hint of naked in showing her bra, naughty) yet in trend with those cut outs. I maybe would’ve lost those earrings but still gorgeous.

Who were your best dressed looks a this year’s #MetGala2015 ?
