  • FASHION/ Rose gold girlyness

Initially I thought rose gold was more of a ‘fashion metal’ but I’ve since changed my mind and grown to ADORE it.

I don’t have a lot of it as yet but this bangle is a beautiful addition to my collection – the fact that has a creativity symbol attached to it makes it perfect for my blogger self to get in that zone….I’m going to wear it whenever I need a bit of inspo!

Bracelet Chrysalis at Joshua James*/ Bralet Pretty Little Thing

These bangles have been really popular amongst the #HullBloggers so there’s a quite a beautiful collection being amassed between us! Check out the hashtag on Instagram to see the other designs.

    Thanks for reading, stay stylish

  • BEAUTY/ Some natural-look treats for my face

I’ve been embracing more of a natural-nude type palette with my make up for the last few months, it seems to go with everything and is super easy to apply so it seems perfect for someone like me who isn’t exactly a beauty genius!

These are a couple of my go-to products that I’ve been using since Chiristmas

I picked up this Barry M Contouring Kit because it looked like an easy way to get started (it has instructions and everything). It definitely is, I just need to get a little better at blending the light and dark together! I often use an additional highlighter over the top of the lightest powder as well, just to make it pop.

The L.A.B.2 The Triple Threat multi-purpose brush had been great for me as no NOTHING about makeup brushes, so I’m grateful that they sent some to the #HBAlPorto event for me to try! I have a whole set now that I use daily for blush, shadow and brows and they’re exactly what I need.

Collection Eyes Uncovered palettes 1- nude. I also have the Little Mix more sparkly nude palette which has been very well loved, but this one is is extra subtle fir daytime which is ideal for an easy breezy look to pop to work or out to lunch.

If you have some other great high street recommendations for natural looking products, shout ’em out to me!

    Stay Stylish,

    J 😘xx

FASHION & LIFESTYLE/ Treats to make a gal happy

This is NOT a Valentine’s Day post

There are 365 days of a year to show a girl that you love her and you think she’s special. In fact, this year there are 366 – that’s a great excuse to pick another day to be spoilt “just because” in my book!

Being spoilt for me usually involves one of two things – relaxing, or pretty things. This gorgeously simple bracelet from the Joshua James collection is perfect for wearing anywhere at any time, the infinity charm adds that little romantic touch “we will be together for infinity” and all that.

I really enjoy a great smelling candle to help me feel a bit more relaxed at the end of a busy week. This Harper’s scent has been my fave over the winter as it smells of red wine and warmness (I got Mama Alice the Pomander and Cherry Bakewell scents for Christmas). I’ll be checking out the new season range really soon.

Infinity bracelet Joshua James*\ Candle Harper’s Bizarre

Check out the rest of the Joshua James collection and let me know which is your fave, and share any tips for new candle scents I should try.

  • FASHION/ February 14

I adore romance, but on my own terms. When it comes to Valentine’s Day Mr Alice and I usually go rogue and celebrate being in love on another day, so anything we would do on February 14 is VERY laid back. One year we picked up a curry in our onesies and then FaceTimed his sister to watch her get married in Jamaica.

As this year it’s on a Sunday, that’s pretty much the relaxed kind of vibe I would want – we would start with a lovely lazy lay in, then eventually get up mid morning and pop to the pub for a couple of drinks. We’d spend the afternoon leisurely eaten half our body weight in our local curry house (Ruby Spice, for anyone in the Hull area that wants a recommendation). Eventually we’d round the day off by rolling home and cuddling up on the sofa watching a film, we’re big comedy fans so something that makes us chuckle would be perfect.

Outfit wise – it has to be something comfy for eating all that food but without compromising on style. This jumper dress is perfect as its lightweight and a little oversized for hiding a ‘tikka tummy’ (haha) you probably won’t be surprised to hear that I have this in 3 colours! I’ve pared it with my newest OTK boots, which I also have in 3 colours (all of which you have now seen in previous posts)

Jumper dress Missy Empire/ Boots EGO
However if the weather is still windy I’d keep warm (and protect my modesty) by adding in these super sassy coated jeggings from River Island.

What will you be up to on February 14- do you embrace the tradition or do you play by your own rules?

    Stay Stylish,

    J 😘xx

  • FASHION/ Sleepwear Sass

It was only a matter of time before my slogan tee passion transferred to the bedroom…in the cutest, sleepiest way of course…what else would I mean?? Hehe. A lot of my fave brands have really brought it with their sleepwear in the last year, forming a trend I have named ‘sleepwear sass’

I have so many more on my list to buy too! All of these are ridiculously comfy and easy to sleep in, they’re also not too shabby for a bit of cheeky weekend chill.

Eyelashes nightshirt Pretty Little Thing (also in pink)/ ‘I woke up like this’ nightshirt Boohoo (also in coral)/ Eat.Sleep.Nap.Repeat. nightshirt Pretty Little Thing (also in mint)/ ‘My bed is my happy place’ nightshirt Boohoo

Have you embraced the Sleepwear Sass trend yet?

    Stay Stylish
