MONDAY LIFESTYLE/ Boo (ya) Tea
Like my #MeanGirls reference? Kind of feel like I’m cheering on Clueless with it though! As I’ve mentioned previously I’ve been feeling a bit bloated and generally not my best lately, so a work colleague recommended this as a good way to ‘flush it all out and start again’. Just what I need!
I went for the 14 as if heard a couple of horror stories about toilet issues, shall we say, but I didn’t get any of that at all. It’s a very easy detox tea that slotted right into my normal routine andhelped me to gel less bloated and generally more ‘well’.
I ate reasonably healthily alongside the teatox but I didn’t take any measurements to know if I’d lost anything, but my clothes felt like they fitted better which is always a good sign! I’d definitely do it again to help feel better about myself.
I purchased my Boo Tea from Holland & Barrett and my cute initial mug is by The Hull Shop at Eden.

FOOD & LIFESTYLE/ Say Whaaat…?? B fresh, b healthy
There’s a saying that I heard a few years ago that I often live by now “when a person receives good service, they tell someone about it, however if they receive bad service, they’ll tell EVERYONE they know” Which social media makes super easy to achieve. So for once, I thought I’d flip that on its head a bit…Last week the lovely people at B fresh sent me a box of their juices to celebrate the company’s first birthday. I was particularly pleased by this because they didn’t send it to me because I’m a blogger- they sent it because they had seen that I’m one of their customers and wanted to thank me (and a few of their other customers too, if you check out their Twitter feed) for my support.
I’m a massive believer in excellent customer service and rewarding brand loyalty (even though it’s nice to try new things as well) so I wanted to write a post to highlight how a fairly small gesture can really make a customer feel valued. THIS is how clever marketing is done!
I’m a longtime fan of juices and have spent the last few years trying different types – what I’ve learnt is that I want something that ‘feels’ as healthy to consume as it looks; not loads of hidden extra fruit to bulk it out. B fresh is literally like drinking your salad (unlike other juices it’s usually sold next to the salad in the supermarket) which doesn’t leave that immediate bloated feeling that smoothies can sometimes leave. It’s an ideal compliment to a meal or on the go in between, which is particularly helpful since I’ve been trying to get my groove back with healthy eating and generally wellbeing (you may have seen this engined in previous posts)

FASHION/ Dungarees ‘n Roll Necks
Happy #BlackFriday everyone, I’ve been poorly so have been up since 3am having a cheeky online shop! Hope you get some great bargains in the sales- buy what you need (or have wanted for ages if it’s on sale) don’t go nuts and be careful if you’re hitting shops in person please!
This is what I wore when I went to see Alan Carr’s latest tour last week* I’ve enjoyed trying out dungarees soooo much! I feel really comfy AND stylish when I wear these which is the fashion Holy Grail in my opinion.
*Just a little aside- I met Alan after the gig – he stroked my new Top Shop faux leopard jacket and said he liked it.
The strap slip was a genuine mistake, but I like it! Very 00’s Nicole Ritchie in The Simple Life (I totally know that some of you may need to google this and this reference shows my age soooo badly!)
Totally crushing on these heels since I wore them to #LadbrokesLadiesDay a couple of months ago (you can see what I wore them with here, it’s a VERY different look)
I really like that the legs are slim fit with the top half being looser because it lets me play around with the silhouette without making me look massive which is really nice. Wearing a fitted top underneath, especially a style that’s kind of my ‘go to’ style makes it feel more me and brings the top proportions back to being more fitted. Plus, the fact that they’re cord means I’ve been really stroke able when wearing them…nice ‘touch’ for Mr Alice methinks. FASHION/ Channeling Chanel #3
I’ve become a bit of a Scream Queens fan, and Mama Alice recently bought me these fab earmuffs so thought I’d channel a bit of a Chanel #3, albeit a less pink version! Black and white is my fave combo EVER.
This blazer is really nice lightweight jersey material so will be firmly fixed in my wardrobe all the way through to summer!
My newest footwear purchase- comfortable and fit really nicely over jeans as well, nice touch with the smart brown heel. They come in two other colours…typically I want those as well!
This for me is a nice look for this time of year- it’s warm (enough) and kinda smart/casual for a weekend lunch and afternoon shopping trip. LIFESTYLE/ Viridian health helpers
I’ve been struggling with tiredness and fatigue for a little while, which I put purely down to the ‘shock’ of readjusting to full time working. Daft as that seems, I’ve been constantly shattered and needed help! I met a lovely chap called Steve from Viridian at the last #HullBloggers event who thought he may be able to help with this problem so recommended a couple of products for me to try.
The Liquid Iron in particular had an almost immediate effect- I had 2 large spoonfuls each morning (alongside a reasonably healthy diet) and by the end of day five I no longer felt as if I was wiped out before the day had even started. Brilliant result. I still get bouts of mild fatigue occasionally but a spoonful of this usually helps…even better than a large cup of coffee, no caffeine headaches here!
