FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up (Part 2)
Round two of what’s turned out to be a super stylish week for celeb world! Quite a few multiple mentions between this and Part1, this is the type of repeat offence they should be committing more often methinks…
Shaking off That NYC Chill
Yes Taylor, Yes! This fabulous mix of autumnal brights, textures and all my fave pieces (skinny jeans, blanket Cape, hat, skater skirt, ankle boots) is just too much excitement for my eyes to take. I want that cape BADLY. I knew you were trouble Taylor. Hehe.
Street Stylin’
I find both of Jessie J’s looks casual yet chic for a day look – great textures, simple colours and interesting shapes that all make a simple look jump right off the page at you.
Vicky’s look appeals to my more girly, retro side of style appreciation, this is definitely a look I’d wear. And as its from her very own VIP range with Honey Boutique, I totally can! You can buy the dress, boots and hat right here http://www.honeyboutique.co.uk/product-category/vip-collection-by-vicky-pattison/
Until this season I’m not sure I’d have thought about grey and maroon together in a look but I’ve seen it done a lot now and really like it as a combo as Frankie is working here along the glittering streets of, er, Blackpool. This is the perfect outfit for the occasion though; cosy for the chilly coastal temperatures, dressing down a little for the seaside vibe yet with a nod to her usual glam in those cheeky black knee highs.
Sarah Hyland’s looks are totally different but really nice, kind of wishing she hadn’t been bringing her bins in on that first one so we could’ve seen a better view though! I don’t look that good when I do it that’s for sure. She’s kinda got the split personality dressing going on that the Kardashians have been favouring this week – the first look is more edgy, the second girly and preppy, kind of how my personal style is I suppose.Evening Glam
There’s something about a cape that’s so glam to me, for the same reason I also like the look of an elegantly draped jacket a la Daisy and Gemma’s looks (you just need to remember that your arms can still move under there so you don’t look awkward! Not that they do, just in general point.) These dresses are such vibrant colours to make the right statement when you’re out at a festive event.
I haven’t seen Nicola out and about for a while so I’m glad she’s back and looking stylish as always! Great style and print of the dress, great hair and shoe choice, I’d just be tempted to lose the necklace as it doesn’t feel cohesive with everything else. Maybe something black and chunkier would be good?
This is literally the best Alex Gerrard has EVER looked. She’s always been gorgeous and stylish, but she’s just bringing it on another level and looks unreal from head to toe to me. Another great example of how some of us improve with age. Good work lovely, Steven is lucky dude.Amazing Textures
Velvet – this berry red cami dress Holly is wearing is beautiful and flattering and sooooo nice to touch. This exact dress is from LA Sula (and comes in other colours) here http://www.lasula.co.uk/index.php/deadly-sins-midi-dress.html so everyone can look just as sexy for a mere £16!!
Leather- Mollie King, this is also the best YOU’VE ever looked as well!! Simple and smouldering with a bright red lip…bingo.
Silky Satin- this can be hard to pull off when you’re not straight up and down, Fearn is smart to know that if its well cut and a little but mattifyed you’re good to go. She’s gone for a funked up edge by adding a shoe boot which is a fave look of mine and also stops the dress looking ‘prommy’ in that fabric. It’s a brand new design by her gurl Sam Faiers for Very which is now on sale here http://www.very.co.uk/samantha-faiers-luxury-sateen-scuba-dress/1458040816.prd
But my very fave look is the beautiful Demi, in her fabulous feathers with a fabulous princess’s train! And the shoes! I think if Carrie Bradshaw would’ve seen this dress before she married Mr Big….Phew, I’m all fashioned out! So many gorgeous looks that are giving me inspiration for the party season, if I ever decide what I’m doing!

FASHION/ Weekly Style Round Up (Part 1)
Wow. Celeb’s be bringing their A games this week, multiple times! So this is going to be the first of a two part round up – we get all the style in, and it’s in nice bit sized chunks so you have something easy to read over lunch or in your down time. Everyone wins!
Keeping up With The Kardashians – Naughty v Nice
The Kardash/Jenner babes can’t decide whether they’re sweetness and light or veering to the dark side this week, and I can’t decide which side I like them on more!
This is the least amount of skin Kim has showed this week (I did a Tumblr post on ‘those pics’ if anyone fancies popping over for a read) but I really like this neutral, floaty and textured palette she’s favouring right now. Technically the Haqq twins (middle pic either side of Khloe) aren’t family but they look just as gorge! These classic two pieces are a great buy now as they’re going to carry on being big news in S/S15, and you can obviously pair each piece with other things (see how I styled my pink roll neck in my last post which is part of a set). Missguided and Boohoo both have gorgeous pastel pieces at the minute at great prices, these are my faves
And so we move to the darker and more sexed up looks…oh yes! Kylie and Kendal’s leather trousers are always a winner in my book – just by changing the texture of an item you can add a little touch of extra glam! Dorothy Perkins have a great pleather version (which I blogged in my ‘Fabulous Textures’ post recently) and River Island have some great coated and leather look jeggings which you can find here http://www.riverisland.com/women/trousers–leggings/leggings/Black-coated-high-waisted-leggings-652621 http://www.riverisland.com/women/trousers–leggings/leggings/Black-leather-look-high-waisted-leggings-651775 Kim has struck a balance in her trouser suit/no bra combo of chic and sexy (tip: you could give this look an instant 90s twist by adding a coloured push up bra underneath). Khloe’s Jersey bodycon number is really similar to the grey dress I blogged back in September for Little Bird Botuique, which, as the post was based on Khlo’s style, I’m pretty pleased about!
Daytime Chic
These girls…these outfits…I can’t….they’re uh-may-zing to me! I’m a big time fan of the cape and duster jacket as an easy breezy A/W cover up, particular as the weather has been so awkward lately and light layers are needed.
Lilah’s outfit is ridiculously easy and cheap to recreate (although I’d LOVE to own an exact match of her monogrammed Burberry Cape, dare to dream…sigh.) a similar version of her Cape can be found at Celeb Look here http://www.celeblook.co.uk/multi-coloured-blanket-stitch-cape.html and ripped skinnies at Miss Pap (which I blogged in my last post) here http://www.misspap.co.uk/tracey-black-high-waisted-ripped-jeans.aspx
Ironically, Chelsea gurl Rosie has shunned designer and plumped for high street fab in her blanket! This beaut check cape is by AX Paris and can be bought here http://www.axparis.com/products/Tartan-Checked-Cape.html
Rosie’s bottle green leather trousers are such a beautiful colour on her! They also cost over £500 for a pair, currently there’s no high street alternative, so I won’t be getting any….booo. But her duster jacket on the other hand is doable, there’s a great copy from IlWF here http://www.inlovewithfashion.com/products/LOVE-Herringbone-Long-Jacket.htmlPants
My attempt at being cool by using an Americanism for trousers….I know I know it’s a fail, but the actual trousers are not! Zoe’s coord is a really gorgeous colour for this season and will be really nice going into spring next year too win the floral pattern.
RiRi just looks so cool as per, the glorious red baseball jacket over the jogger/sweat combo is how I’d like to think I look dressed down, but the phrase most people who possibly describe me as is ‘tramp chic’. Oops.
La Lopez is werk ing this black and grey like a boss! Faux fur is so her, especially in this ghetto fabulous kind of a look. Top Shop do a version of her top here http://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/clothing-427/knitwear-444/ribbed-roll-neck-crop-top-3570474?refinements=Colour%7b1%7d~%5bblack%5d&bi=1&ps=20 and a bargain faux fur stole from Select here http://www.selectfashion.co.uk/accessories/s040-3004-63_beige.htmlWhat do you think of these looks, which is your fave?
That’s the end of Part1, stayed tuned for Part2 coming soon!

FASHION/ 90s Child
I was a child of the 90s. No, I don’t mean when I was born, I mean grew up in – I watched Saved By The Bell, remember Justin and Britney as hot couple badly clad in denim, heard Will Smith’s story bout how his life got flip turned upside down…and Cher Horowitz will ALWAYS be the style icon for my generation. And, not really sure why I care to admit this publicly, my last name used to be Gallagher…THAT explains a few things right! So I embrace the retro now but lived it then too! So I thought I’d do a cheeky 90s look based on the fashion I was too young to wear back then
This roll neck is part of a co-ord by Lauren Pope (my third consecutive blog ft ITS), a nude bra underneath works the best as the fabric is a little sheer, but almost silky feeling and a textured in. Away I’ve not seen before which brings a bit of quirk. You’ll also notice that I’m wearing an actual pair of real jeans, the first proper fitting pair I’ve bought in years….result!! And also fulfilling a 90s childhood dream of owning a pair of ripped jeans, sad but true! These are the softest comfiest pair EVER, anyone who has seen me around uni lately will probably have seen me wearing them as I pretty much only take them off for bed at the minute (again, probably sad but very true). I topped it off with my fave 90s hairstyle, there are actual photos of my sporting it but not quite as polished (I was called ‘fountain head’ between ages 11-12) and my trusty cleated boots. I’m usually all about a colour pop lip but I went the whole nine(ties) yards and did a nude which I was surprisingly happy with – I used Miss Sporty Instant Colour & Shine Lip in Playful Beige.

Boots- PrimarkHope you like the look, mahoosive style round ups (yes that’s plural, it’s been a fashionable week) on the way shortly. I’m also blogging non fashiony posts on Tumblr now too (my first was yesterday’s ‘Breaking the Internet?’) if you feel like sneaking a peak.

FASHION/ Lizard Lickin’ Goooood
I’ve been a baaaaad gurl this month. I’ve let my severe addiction to cake (well, food in general) take over so have spent a lot of time feeling very full, a bit bloated and a lot guilty! Must try harder until the end of the year now.
So with this in mind I decided to try out Charlotte Crosby’s claim about her Nostalgia Range by In The Style – which is that you can eat carbs in the clothes and not feel uncomfortable afterwards. I thought the perfect dress to do this in was her fave from the collection (which is also my fave). It was kind of an impromptu shoot so apologies for pulling touristy poses and cheesy grins at the end!
The unusually shaped building in the background is The Deep (https://www.thedeep.co.uk) Hull’s fabulous aquarium (that doubles as a restaurant and quirky wedding venue) that is now home to penguins! I need to go and visit them soon.
Anyway moving on from the City pride and back to the clothes…I’d just eaten a MAHOOSIVE and very delicious lunch, and felt completely comfy in this cute lil frock during and afterwards. The lizard design makes it bit more quirky and interesting, and honestly I’ve worn it so much lately that I’m sure Mr Alice thinks it’s the only one I have! I kept the lower half fitted with the dress being looser and brought the knee socks back out to keep the cute/quirky thang going, my go to cleated ankle boots and double bobble hat. Awesome! I also had on a black faux fur jacket (last season Dorothy Perkins) but took it off for the photos so you could see the dress better, possibly not the best thing to do when by the river on a chilly autumn day but it’s all in the name of blogging…well, Curious Alice.

FASHION/ Fabulous Textures (and a hint of boob)
I adore textures. They’re making potentially ordinary outfits look a little bit of sumthin’ sumthin’ this season. I had a little play with it when I did my fluffy jumper/denim skirt/wool boyfriend coat combo back in September but I’ve been waiting to do a different take on it ever since…so here it is! I adored this coat (a gift from mama Alice) so much in the shop that I almost forgot I had it on and tried to leave, it just felt like it had just been waiting for me to take it home! See if you can spot the shot where Mr Alice shouted “Move your hair, it’s covering your left boob!” Just as an older couple were walking past. Oopsie!
Also, how gorgeous are these shoes? Some of the best flats I’ve ever seen – shiny and pointy and so frickin’ cool even when you’re being casual. Little tip re the pleather treggings – you need the hoik (technical term, haha) them up gently yet firmly! Well worth it though as they’re really comfy and look a bit more glam than normal trousers for a change (my next look with them will be with knitwear a la Kendal Jenner in last week’s Style round up). My tee is one of my other purchases from Charlotte Crosby’s Nostalgia range with In The Style- cheeky and to the point, so very me! Not sure if I’ll be wearing this one to uni though…
