Awards season really is on full swing! I sometimes like the British awards the best because there’s a more diverse range of styles, and a lot more frocky horrors! So this year’s #NTA2015 was no exception. Lots and lots of gorgeous looks though, here are a few of my faves

Rainbow Brights

Rochelle looks sooooo glam! I almost feel like she needs to be at the
Oscars in this gown it’s that gorgeous. But she always looks great so I’d expect nothing less.
I saw Natalie’s dress when she was presenting an award and really you need to see it move to notice how well cut it actually is. It fits her perfectly and she looks striking.
I’ve seen mixed reviews about Sam’s look, some people have put it in their worst dressed lists already….er, no! The colour is gorgeous against her skin, the gold accents work well, yes the cleavage could be a little much but it’s a full length gown so nothing is hanging out. I’m totally into it! The only thing I’d ditch are the massive gold hoops, they’re a little too ghetto for this look and take away a bit of the polish.
Lucy is showing off her body to perfection in this purple number. Her hair is siren gorgeous…what else can be said?!?!

Back to Black

Again I’ve seen that some of these ladies got stick for “playing it safe in black”. I’m seriously thinking that the people saying this aren’t looking at them very well! Popey is wearing a sheer geometric pattern which is both on trend and super daring – one extra bright camera flash and her goodies would’ve been OUT! Yes it has long sleeves and more ‘safe’ neckline but it screams sexy.
Aleesha’s dress is simple but very stylish. The high neck is soooo hot right now, and she’s balanced it out with the sleeveless arm area. The gold gives it subtle glam and her hair looks gorge. Nothing boring about being elegant yet fierce!
I think this is one the best joint looks Claudia and Tess have ever pulled off together quite frankly! I often like something one of them wears on SCD but there’s never a lot of cohesion between the two so it can look disjointed. But they both look fabulous here! This little black skater is pushing Claudia’s boundaries as she’s usually more relaxed and this very fitted and girly, whereas Tess usually goes for a more feminine gown yet is killing it in the monochrome tailored trouser suit. It’s a ten from Jen girlies. Hehe
Amanda’s dress is what I’d call a ‘more traditional awards dress’ when done well – well fitted, highlighting the best bits of the shape and some well placed flashings of flesh. There’s a big cut out section at the back which created interest when she turned around as well so I’m glad she put her hair up to let the dress be the focus. If I looked that hot I’d want to show it off too!

Daring to be a Lil Different

I always appreciate a good fashion risk, keeps the red carpet exciting!
Lucy’s outfit is shocking in that it’s so much more casual than the rest of the red carpet looks. She dances to the best of her own drum that one and I appreciate the fact that she’s happy going against the grain and has picked something that she looks cute in and is owning it.
Kate Garraway is usually on the worst dressed lists but this look is really quirky in a good way for her. Looking at her awkward pose I suspect she disagrees though….strut proudly Kate!
There is NOTHING boring about Chloe’s black dress…I think if you though this outfit was playing it safe you’d have a whoooooooole other set of issues going on! Emma’s two piece is THE ONE for me though. Again, I saw it when she was presenting the the movement of that skirt was just amazing, but it’s a great example of a red carpet appropriate two piece. There’s a lots of two pieces coming out for awards and the prom season that I’ve seen, so I think this may be seen everywhere come summer time. Gorge Mrs Willis, I heart your style!

Model Momager

Oh yes, I still managed to get a Kardashian (well, Jenner) into this post! I get the impression that Kris loved having the chance to wear something glam and furry in the cold British weather, but that she also enjoyed the spotlight on her for a change…good job she looks good then! Very Kardash, a little sexy but total glam. Oh yeah, oh yeah.

A whole week of lusting after celeb style, why break the habit of a lifetime? Well, just this week! There’s a real mixture of styles this week to feast your fashion peepers on…

Stylish n Snug

We were clearly all lied to as teenagers – clearly you can be warm AND stylish! Remember those days when we wouldn’t take a coat on nights out for fear of ruining a good dress? That may be more of a northern thing actually. I’m so glad that check is going to carry on being a big thing for this season, I adore it! A good tip would be to invest in a great blanket scarf like Reese’s, then it’ll double up as an extra layer under or over a jacket a la VB’s Burberry effort. This is a colour that hasn’t been rocked by every other celeb Burberry Cape fan which is cool, but I haven’t seen any high street versions as yet.
Vicky’s colour popping mustard number, on the other hand, I have found. Stepping Out Stylish

I adore Sienna’s dress – It’s a little S/S for January, but is has long ish sleeves so what the hey!
I’m not an avid X Factor watcher these days but I know of Fleur and have seen her in some beaut fashion during and since the show, and the shirt dress is lovely. Great chic/casual mix, and those sandals are a triumph.
As I type, I’m actually wearing a similar outfit to my gurl Khlomoney (purely coincidental) ripped winter white skinnies, stiletto court shoes (mine are black) and a long sleeved winter white jumper. Great minds style alike I guess! Hehe.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that Ellie and Dougie are literally THE coolest couple ever! They look soooo rockalicious in these outfits. I’d totally wear Dougie’s shirt with Ellie’s jeans, I wonder if they do that…

Hawt Daaaaaamn

Some of these women are on my weekly round up so frequently that I’ve run out of gushing things to say about them now – Im talking to you in particular Lucy and J-Lo!
I’ve seen a really similar dress to Cara’s at La Sula http://www.lasula.co.uk/index.php/shop/shop-by-product/dresses/hole-lot-of-attitude-mini-dress.html which some people may prefer as the capped sleeves provide a bit of arm cover whilst still working that high fashion mesh vibe.
Abbey isn’t letting pregnancy stop her from being stylish or flashing some flesh! I like that she’s done it in a more subtle way with a sheer fabric maxi, and throwing the leather biker over the top just makes it look thrown together and effortlessly cool. I heart you Clancy!

#TGIF everyone! It’s like fashion week all over again – so many other outfits to pass over and none of my own! But it’s all in the name of inspo. I’m enjoying #awardsseason soooooo much already

Standing Out

A bit of colour goes a looooooong way to looking hot! My absolute drool-fest fave is Alessandra – I mean, how can you not enjoy staring at a Victoria’s Secret Angel wearing sultry maroon and lace?!?! My only teeny lil bug bear is with Jen’s trouser suit as I would’ve liked the jacket to be a bit more fitted around the waist area. By the by, she OWNS that red carpet alongside the young guns!

More White and Shimmering Angels

I like that a lot of these shapes are really old Skool Hollywood glam, Angelina’s is a little like Jessica Chastain’s black/gold number from the Globes. I adore the print of Diane’s gown but the shape from the side/back was a bit strange!

And Can I Just Say….

I heart both these looks for different reasons – Khloe’s, because its sultry and fierce and oh so Kardash which I like, and Jamie because it’s more fashion meets girly girly. Both look gorgeous

I was too tired to stay up and watch, but I was very excited when I saw the fabulous pics online this morning! Some gorgeous looks, more towards the traditional dresses than The People’s Choice Awards but still a couple of game changers

Colour Poppin’

The red dresses say it all – worn by two women who Hollywood would normally consider old in their respective professions but who are SLAYIN’ it regardless! Gorgeous and inspirational.

White Hot

Just….Daaaaaamn Kate Hudson! Really like G Rancic’s elaborate fishtail – when she’s working an awards show red carpet, she be werkin’!

Shimmer Shimmer

On the left is Greer Grammer (daughter of Kelsey) who was Miss Golden Globes and looks stylish and girly. Adore this. The middle look is a real mix of traditional awards gown and fashion forward with the Aztec print, great combo. And J- Lo…..why am I not J-Lo? And WHY don’t I have her golden globes?? Guess I’ll have to be as being J-Bar and killing that!

Dark but not so Moody

Jessica’s dress is soooo old Hollywood glamour to me in the style (perfect for her) but the black with gold shimmer just makes it a bit more interesting in the movement too. And we had to give to our own Eddie for making a stylish effort, good job since he won! It’s so lovely that it’s the last night of his honeymoon too, truly a memorable event.

Well done to all the winners, looking forward to more awards season frocks to drool over already!

The first celeb style commentary of 2015! It’s kind of a mixture of the last couple of weeks though, people have been stepping out a bit less in January and been staying in to eat healthy and work out. But those who have been out and about are looking goooood

Cosy and Chic

One of my fave looks at the moment! I’m spending my days living in skinnies, over the knee boots and blanket capes…and so are some other glam gals. I’m taking that as a fashion win!

Sexy Skirts, Cool Jackets and Winter Pastels

These combos are such a good idea for January! A pencil skirt flatters the smallest part of the hourglass shape (and if you get the right one, holds in the festive pounds) and the jackets add a nice bit of fluidity to contrast the fitted shape of the outfit. How can you not heart that?!?! It’s also really nice to see some different colour combos (grey/burgundy – triumph) and some lovely winter pastel shades. Yes purlease!

Workin’ Those Pants

It’s really nice to see ladies step away from dresses and skirts, I’m hoping this continues at some of less formal shows! I’m predicting that there’ll be an obtainable version of Portia De Rossi’s cobalt jumpsuit in the high street stat. I’m glad Melissa us wearing trousers, to me she always looks a bit unlike herself when she’s “frocked up” but here she looks radiant and damn sexy in all black errrrthang. Hella, yeah.

That’s the first round up of the year DONE! It’s the Golden Globes tonight so I’m looking forward to seeing more red carpet style.
